We're almost at the shortest day of the year here in the northern hemisphere and that day, in spite of the long hours of darkness, always makes me think of new beginnings. It snowed today, and the sky never cleared, but next week? The days will start to get longer again.
I'm in a warm house that smells of spiced nuts, and I'm surrounded [both literally and metaphorically] by creatures who love me. This makes me lucky beyond belief, but luck is only good if you share it.
So, if you can, please take this message of warmth and safety into your heart for just a moment, and know how grateful I am that you are in my life. And from my home and family to yours, I wish you the best of new beginnings for the solstice and the rest of the holiday season!
